New 2.5 release and upcoming changes to the club
After a successful Beta testing period of Joom!Fish 2.5 the project team is preparing the final stable release of the long awaited new JoomFish 2.5 extension.
The update is primarily focused on the Joomla 2.5 core and will create a lot of opportunities for multilingual websites based on the current platform.
As the feature sets and requirements for the two platforms Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 are quite different and we still see a lot of needs for current Joomla 1.5 sites we also decided to restructure our support services differently in future.
The goal is to provide the required services on a fair price for the different needs. This is why we will drop our current bronze (1 month memberships) by end of November 2012. The silver membership will get a freshup of the price and allow you to focus on your Joomla 1.5 needs. All existing pro extensions will be available for an affortable price in one single package.
The gold club will change into the Joom!Fish future club that allows you to access all 2.5 and upcoming 3.0 features and packages directly on our site.
As we see more and more multilingual features being integrated into the Joomla Core the JoomFish extension will also change its focus in future.
We like to express that the core integration of multilingual features is a great opportunity for the Joomla CMS and we are very happy to see this being accepted by the PLT finally.
What focus the JoomFish project will have in future is not clear yet - your suggestions are very welcome. It is clear that will continue the support for the Joomla system even though the kind of support might change.

Installation instructions
Installation instructions for JoomFish (jf-future) on Joomla 2.5
Prerequisites
1. Joomla 2.5.x
2. PHP 5.2 (ideally 5.3)
3. mysqli driver (not mysql, note the ending i) - just go to Joomla 2.5 Global Configuration —> Server —> Database Settings and be sure that the database Type is Mysqli
4. The Joomla multilingual system present in the core is not compatible with translations made using JoomFish. This means you must either use JoomFish to translate your contents or you must use the core Joomla way to create a multi-lingual website. If you choose to use JoomFish you have to make sure to disable the core Joomla Language Switcher module (Backend > Extensions > Module Manager > select the modules "Language Switcher" and unpublish them) and disable the Language filter and Language code system plugins (Backend > Extensions > Plug-in Manager > select the plugins "System - Language Code" and "System - Language Filter" and unpublish them).
Test environment (and settings in case of problems)
• Set Error reporting to Maximum in the Global Configuration (Backend > Site > Global Configuration > Server > Error Reporting = Maximum).
• Set Debug System to Yes in the Global Configuration (Backend > Site > Global Configuration > System > Debug System = Yes).
Installation
• 1 - Get jf-future from GitHub: github.com/JoomFish/jf-future (There is a link to a zip available if you don't want to use git).
• 2a - Use the zip file to install: Install the component as you're used to: Backend > Extensions > Extensions Manager, browse to the downloaded zip file and click Upload & Install [OR]
• 2b - Don't use the zip file, use the directory created from the GitHub repository: Install the component with the Install from Directory in the Extension Manager.
This installs the component, the module (mod_jflanguageselection) and the three plugins (jfdatabase, jfrouter and jfoverrides) in one go.
Post-installation
Enable JoomFish language selector
Check whether the frontend JoomFish language selector module (Backend > Extensions > Module Manager > "JoomFish language selector") is published, assigned to relevant pages and published on a position that appears in your template.
• Status = Published
• Choose a position, e.g. "position-6" on Joomla's default template Beez
• Assign the module, e.g. "On all pages" (or at least a selection)
Check the Content Languages
Check the Content Languages (Backend > Components > JoomFish > Content Languages): only active languages are shown in the frontend. Make sure each language has an Internal Title and a Native Title.
Check/disable core Joomla multilingual system
Disable the core Joomla Language Switcher module and the Language filter and Language code system plugins. The core Joomla multilingual system is not compatible with Joomfish translations so you must decide which system you will use on the site. See pre-requisite nr. 4.
Check Joomfish system plugins ordering numbers
The Joomfish system plugins need to come before all other system plugins and their ordering numbers must be: 1 - "Joomfish - Basic Router", 2 - "Joomfish - Database Abstraction Layer", 3 - "Joomfish - Core overrides". All other system plugins need to have ordering numbers higher than 3. Find your system plugins here: Backend > Extensions > Plug-in Manager > Dropdownbox: - Select Type - = system.
Add languages after installation of JoomFish
When you install a new language after you have installed JoomFish the language automatically shows up in the Content Languages screen (Backend > Components > JoomFish > Content Language). You may want to change the Internal title (title of the language used in JoomFish' backend) and the Native Title (title used in the language selection module in the frontend). The language is only shown in the frontend language selection module if it is set to active (check the box and save).
Re-install JoomFish
Currently the installation manifest (intentionally) does not use the "upgrade" method. This means that when you want to install a later version of jf-future you have to uninstall JoomFish and then install the later version. Uninstall JoomFish via Backend > Extensions > Extension Manager > Manage > select: Joom!Fish (the component) and click uninstall. Database entries are kept, only the JoomFish files (component, module and plugins) are removed.

Joomla 2.5.6 Russian
Версия Joomla! 2.5.6 с локализованными демонстрационными материалами и предустановленным русским языком диалогов. Данный дистрибутив ничем не отличается от стандартного, кроме предустановленных русскоязычных пакетов локализации, демо-материалов на русском языке, языковых файлов TinyMCE и текста лицензии, отображаемой при инсталляции.
При установке данной сборки, после создания базы данных, можно выбрать язык демо-данных. По умолчанию выбран английский (мы не меняли это, ибо это было бы уже вмешательством в код системы), но пользователь может выбрать из списка демо-данные на русском языке.
Скачать Joomla 2.5.6 Stable Full Russian
При установке обязательно выбрать Стандартные демо-данные на русском языке (там много нужного для начинающих работу)
6. = = = Устанавить Joom!Fish
- Запустить установленную версию Joomla 2.5.6 Russian с административными правами
- Проверить установленные языки (Расширения > Менеджер языков), чтобы на всех панелях было по 2 языка RU/EN
- В Менеджере расширений выбрать нужный режим установки
(Расширения > Менеджер расширений > Установить из каталога) - из каталога /tmp
- Скопировать в каталог /tmp сайта содержимое файла jf-future-master.zip
- Отредактировать файл manifest.xml /убрать все комментирования строк/ - на Вашу ответственность (иначе модули Joom!Fish установятся, но его не будет видно в панели Компоненты)
- Нажать кнопку Установить
- Устанавливается и пишет
Multilingual extention and translation manager for Joomla! 2.5.x
Установка компонента успешно завершена.
- В панели Компоненты появился компонент Joom!Fish:
- Открываем и разбираемся с панелями и режимами
- Joom!Fish :: The multilingual Content Manager for Joomla!
- Меню Joom!Fish англо
- На сайте появляются флажки языков и переключаются языки
- Одновременно появляется ссылка JoomFish language selector
(Если надо, ищите 'Как убрать ссылку JoomFish language selector’)
